 AVID’s mission is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society.

GHS is a proud AVID site, excited to be sharing the experience with our current 9th grade AVID students.

Thank you to all the students who applied. We had 113 applications for only two sections of AVID!  We have our final list of those student accepted into AVID at GHS for the 2013-2014.  However, we are awaiting final word on the AVID Welcome Party so we holding off in sending the letter in a couple of days.  We will send the letter to the address listed on the application.

Applications for the 2013-2014 are available at the front office. Attached is a copy of the application.

Application Process:

  1. Student submits completed application no later than March 1st.
  2. Applications are screened.
  3. Applicants are contacted for an interview.
  4. Applicants are sent a letter with results.

Goddard Middle School                March 26th.

Sandburg Middle School               March 27th

GHS                                              April 9th -11th

Students will be receiving a call slip from the office at their scheduled time. Please review your interview questions and dress nicely.

Student will be notified by mail after Spring Break with the results for the 2013-2014 school year.”
