  • Each graduate will be issued eight [8] tickets in May.
  • Additional tickets may be purchased in the Student Store May 23/ May 24 and at Citrus Stadium on May 24 beginning at 4:30 p.m. @ the Home Gate.
  • The gates open at 4:30 p.m.  Guests should arrive no later than 5:30 p.m.
  • Please allow sufficient time to enter the stadium and acquire seating before 6:00 p.m.
  • Guests are encouraged to utilize both north and south parking lot entrances.
  • Tickets for disabled seating may be obtained through Mr. Spengler's Office [ext. 235].
  • At the conclusion of the ceremony, parents are welcome to greet their graduate at the event area, west of the main field.
  • No balloons, signs, noisemakers, whistles or airhorns will be allowed into the stadium.
  • Senior "17" This photo has seniors grouped in the formation of the number 17.  Cost is $20.00
  • Senior cap and gown panoramic photo will be taken during the commencement morning practice on May 24.  Cost is $25.00
  • Graduate Diploma Photo-  Photo will be taken on May 24 as the graduate receives his/her diploma crossing the stage.  The cost of this is based on your order.  All question regarding photos, please contact Lee Spengler's office at extension 235/236.
  • L and H Video Services-  Graduation DVD/Blu-Ray.  To order, click on the link below for the order form.  In addition, L and H Video will be stationed at each entrance to Citrus College Stadium on May 24.

Important Reminders from GHS

Tutorial

Reminder for students and parents that GHS has a tutorial period available period from 8:05am until 8:30am for students to get extra help in their classes.  All students are expected to access the tutorial period if they are earning a "C" grade or below, have missed a portion or all of a class period or need extra assistance from their teacher.

Scholarship Opportunities

The following scholarship opportunities are available to GHS students.  If you have questions about these opportunities please contact Asssitant Principal, Jamie Norell at ext. 204.

 

Rotary 4 Way Speech Contest

The Rotary 4 Way Speech Contest awards up to $5,000.00.  Students can access the application through the link or in Mrs. Norell's Office. Applications are due by Tuesday, February 7, 2017 to Mrs. Norell, local competition is scheduled for Tuesday, February 28, 2017. Click here for information regarding the contest.

 

ACSA Oratory Contest

Region XV of ACSA is holding a speech contest in the GHS Event Center on February 9, 2017 at 3:00pm.  The three minute speech will focus on "Awaken the Force Within".  Click here for more detailed information regarding the contest and please sign up in Mrs. Norell's Office by Friday, February 4, 2017 if interested.

 

CSF Scholarships

Senior CSF Members click here for information on the Michelson Award.  Deadline to apply is December 22, 2016.

 

 

Dan Stover Memorial Rotary Music Competition

This music competition is open to high school seniors who live or attend school in Glendora.  Students will perform using a musical instrument for a maximum eight minutes (minimum of four minutes).  Applications are due to Mrs. Norell's office no later than Wednesday, March 9, 2016.  The local contest will take place on March 25th, with additional competition levels occurring in April and May.  Grand prize is $5,000.00.  Click here for the application and see Mrs. Norell for more information.

 

Foothill Credit Union 2016 College Bound Scholarship  

Foothill Credit Union will award  $2,000 scholarships to select Money$mart and MoneyBound members who are pursuing a college education.  Applicants must be entering their freshman or sophomore year of college.  If chosen, the award will be paid directly to the recipient on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Foothill's Annual Meeting.  Questions, please call extension 230.  College Bound Scholarship2016(1).pdf
