All Glendora High School 9th and 10th grade students have access to 24 hour, 7 days a week free online tutoring through  Click on the icon above for immediate access.  Students will need their student ID number which is listed on their student ID card or can be found through the AERIES portal. 



Tartan University invites you Thursday, September 8th at 6:00pm in the Event Center for a conversation with Arun Ponnusamy and Patti Winklel of Collegewise.  Arun and Patti will discuss with GHS 9th and 10th grade students and parents "What You Need to Know Now About College Admissions".  You don't want to miss this informative evening.


Tartan University invites all GHS 12th Grade students and parents to join us on Thursday, September 8th at 7:30pm in the Event Center.  Patti Winkel from Collegewise will discuss "How to Write Great College Essays".  Don't miss this event.


Financial Aid Night for Senior Parents  This event will take place on September 7 at 6:30 p.m. in the Event Center.  A representative from APU will be providing financial aid information as well as giving an overview of the FAFSA, addressing the changes for this year, including the opportunity to file as early as October 1.


It is time to sign up for CSF, NHS and GHS Academic Letter.  First step is to attend club week August 31st – September 2nd and visit the CSF table to order your transcripts.  Second step is to visit Room 212 September 6th through 9th to sign up for the three organizations, your transcripts will be waiting for you and you can complete the application process at that time.  CSF dues are $10 (checks made payable to GHS/CSF), NHS dues are $10 (checks made payable to GHS NHS) and you must have a current ASB card for each of the three organizations.   All applications must be completed by September 9th, by the end of lunch, there are no extensions


Club Week will take place in the gym during lunch.  Many clubs will be represented  Students are encouraged to attend this event and sign up for their favorite club(s).


Freshman Parent Orientation will give you an overview of your student's journey through the next four years at GHS.  Meet in the Event Center at 6:30 p.m.    This is approximately 45 minute presentation.


Back to School Night will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. Parents meet in the Gym at 6:30 p.m. Classroom visitations begin at 6:45 p.m.

Important Reminders from GHS


Reminder for students and parents that GHS has a tutorial period available period from 8:05am until 8:30am for students to get extra help in their classes.  All students are expected to access the tutorial period if they are earning a "C" grade or below, have missed a portion or all of a class period or need extra assistance from their teacher.

Scholarship Opportunities

Foothill Credit Union 2016 College Bound Scholarship  

Foothill Credit Union will award  $2,000 scholarships to select Money$mart and MoneyBound members who are pursuing a college education.  Applicants must be entering their freshman or sophomore year of college.  If chosen, the award will be paid directly to the recipient on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Foothill's Annual Meeting.  Questions, please call extension 230.  College Bound Scholarship2016(1).pdf

Rotary 4 Way Speech Contest

The Rotary 4 Way Speech Contest awards up to $5,000.00.  Students can access the application through the link or in Mrs. Norell's Office. Applications are due by Tuesday, January 26, 2016 to Mrs. Norell, local competition is scheduled for Tuesday, February 16, 2016. Click here for information regarding the contest.


Dan Stover Memorial Rotary Music Competition

This music competition is open to high school seniors who live or attend school in Glendora.  Students will perform using a musical instrument for a maximum eight minutes (minimum of four minutes).  Applications are due to Mrs. Norell's office no later than Wednesday, March 9, 2016.  The local contest will take place on March 25th, with additional competition levels occurring in April and May.  Grand prize is $5,000.00.  Click here for the application and see Mrs. Norell for more information.


ACSA Oratory Contest

Region XV of ACSA is holding a speech contest in the GHS Event Center on February 11, 2016 at 3:00pm.  The three minute speech will focus on "Connect, Collaborate, Cultivate".  Click here for more detailed information regarding the contest and please sign up in Mrs. Norell's Office by Friday, February 5, 2016 if interested.
